Assembly Operations Move Into New Facility
On June 22, 2005, Columbia Gear began shipping product from its new 60,000 square foot assembly plant. The expansion has opened up additional floor space in the main plant and plans are underway to fill the space with new equipment. This will broaden the company’s capabilities and increase capacity. Some of the equipment that will be installed include two Daewoo Puma 700 CNC Lathes, one Doosan 850T Vertical Lathe, seven Fellows Shapers, two Gleason 400GH Hobbers, one Gleason-Pfauter 600/800 Gear Grinder and a five 680FH Mazak HMC Palletech System.
