Columbia Gear Adds Guideless Shaping Capabilities

In September 2006, Columbia Gear added guideless shaping capabilities by installing a Gleason Pfauter 800mm Electronic Guideless Shaper.  This machine will provide the ability to cut a variety of helix angles without using or changing helical guides.  The new technology will reduce manufacturing costs that can be passed onto the customer.  A second Gleason-Pfauter 800mm shaper is scheduled for delivery in November.
